Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to get it corrected or deleted.
Last updated: 9 August 2026
Bathroom Deals (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates bathroomdeals.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Businesses with an annual turnover under $3 million are generally exempt from that Act, and we may currently fall below that threshold — but we have chosen to apply these standards regardless, because we think it is the right way to treat customer information.

What we collect
When you place an order — your name, email address and phone number; billing and delivery addresses; what you ordered and the order total; and any delivery instructions you add.
When you pay — we do not see, handle or store your full card number. Payment details are entered directly into our payment provider’s systems. We receive only confirmation of payment, the payment method type, and the last four digits of the card.
When you create an account — your email address, a password stored encrypted so that we cannot read it, and your saved addresses and order history.
When you subscribe to our newsletter — your first name, last name and email address.
When you contact us — whatever you include in your message, through the contact form, by email, or by phone.
Automatically, as you browse — your IP address and the approximate location derived from it; browser, device and operating system; the pages and products you viewed and how long you stayed; the site or search that referred you; and items added to your cart and whether you completed a purchase. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
Why we collect it
We use your information to process and dispatch your order and arrange freight or warehouse collection; to send order confirmations, invoices, dispatch notices and delivery updates; to handle warranty claims, returns and refunds; to answer your enquiries; to send our newsletter if you asked for it; to understand how the site is used so we can improve it; to show you relevant advertising on Facebook, Instagram and Google; to detect and prevent fraudulent transactions; and to meet our obligations under Australian Consumer Law and tax record-keeping rules.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

| Freight carriers | Name, delivery address, phone number, parcel details | To deliver your order |

Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy obligations and by our agreements with them.
Disclosure outside Australia. Several of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. By using this site and placing an order, you consent to that disclosure. We take reasonable steps to deal only with providers who apply appropriate protections, but we cannot guarantee that overseas recipients will handle your information in a way that complies with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and tracking
Necessary cookies make the site work. They remember what is in your cart, keep you logged in, and let our caching system serve pages quickly. The site cannot function without them.
Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 tells us how many people visit, which products they look at, and where they came from. This is reported to us in aggregate.
Advertising cookies — the Meta Pixel records which products you viewed and whether you purchased, so we can measure our advertising and show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram.
How to turn tracking off. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, though blocking necessary cookies will break the cart and checkout. For Google Analytics, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on. For Meta, adjust your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings. We honour browser Do Not Track signals where our providers support them.
Marketing email
We will only add you to our newsletter if you ask us to. We will not add you because you placed an order.
Every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests promptly, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Transactional emails — order confirmations, invoices, dispatch and delivery notices, and warranty correspondence — are not marketing, and you will keep receiving those for as long as you have an active order or warranty with us.
How we protect your information
The site runs over HTTPS, so information sent between your browser and our server is encrypted. Payment card details never reach our servers. Account passwords are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be read by us or anyone else. Access to customer data is limited to people who need it to do their job, and we keep the site, its software and its plugins up to date.
No system is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.
How long we keep it
Order and transaction records — seven years, as tax law requires.
Account details — until you ask us to close your account.
Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe.
Enquiries — two years from your last contact with us.
Analytics data — as set by our providers’ retention settings, typically 14 months.
When we no longer need information and are not required to keep it, we delete it or de-identify it.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy of it, correct anything wrong or out of date, delete it where we are not legally required to keep it, or stop sending you marketing.
Email info@bathroomdeals.au. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before releasing information. We do not charge for this.
If you have an account, you can see and edit much of this yourself under My Account.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first at info@bathroomdeals.au. We will investigate and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au, on 1300 363 992, or by post to GPO Box 5218, Sydney NSW 2001.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. If we make a change that materially affects how we handle your information, we will tell customers by email.
